Located in Portland, Oregon, this Studio 2 assignment followed the design process from start to finish.

We were assigned a client: Pacific Northwest Multicultural Community Services. They requested a refugee and community center with a residential aspect and gave us a program.

We researched the site and the building, created floor and furniture plans, came up with a concept, created elevations and sketches, and made final selections and renderings.

My goal for the space was to create a welcoming, peaceful sanctuary that honored the industrial feel of the original building, as well as the environmentally-focused values of Portland.
